Yelverton Golf Club

About the Club

Located on the picturesque southwest edge of Dartmoor National Park, Yelverton is ranked in the Top 100 Golf Courses’ in England. It’s an outstanding moorland venue offering panoramic, unobstructed views across Devon and Cornwall. Originally laid out by the renowned architect Herbert Fowler in 1904, the course makes masterful use of the natural, undulating moorland terrain to create a fast-running, highly strategic golf course. Free of artificial earthmoving, the fairways weave through natural hummocks, heather, gorse, and historic mine workings, demanding creative shot-shaping and precise club selection.

Key Details:

  • The Course: A classic Herbert Fowler moorland layout featuring wide, sweeping fairways, natural hazards, and exceptionally fast, true greens that run pure year-round.

  • Championship Pedigree: Long-established host to top regional county championships and national amateur qualifying events.

  • Facilities: Characterful clubhouse with sweeping views over Dartmoor, a fully stocked PGA Pro Shop, practice putting green, and short-game area.
