Frilford Heath Golf Club

About the Club

Situated on 500 acres of glorious Oxfordshire countryside just south of Oxford, Frilford Heath is a premier 54-hole golfing complex. Founded in 1908, the club features three outstanding courses set on rare, sandy heathland soil. The original Red Course (designed by JH Taylor in 1908) weaves through classic heather and pine, while the Blue Course (designed by Frank Pennink in 1969) offers a longer, more modern championship test with large greens and strategic water features.

Key Details:

  • The Courses: The Red Course is a traditional, pine-and-heather classic; the Blue Course is a expansive, formidable layout with challenging green sites.

  • Championship Pedigree: Regular venue for Open Championship Regional Qualifying, the European Tour Qualifying School, and national amateur championships.

  • Facilities: Spacious, modern clubhouse, extensive grass driving range, short-game practice zones, indoor swing studio, and PGA Pro Shop.

  • The Playing Experience: Classic heathland play on firm, fast-draining turf where navigating strategic bunkering and heather-lined doglegs is essential.
