Broadstone Golf Club

About the Club

Founded in 1898 and originally laid out by Tom Dunn before being extensively redesigned by Harry Colt in 1914, Broadstone is widely regarded as one of the finest natural heathland courses in the United Kingdom. Set within 250 acres of unspoiled Dorset countryside, the course winds through rolling hills covered in heather, gorse, and pine. Offering sweeping views across Poole Harbour and the Purbeck Hills, Broadstone delivers a classic Colt test where natural elevation changes and pristine heathland turf demand both strategic driving and precise iron play.

Key Details:

  • The Course: A premier Harry Colt heathland layout featuring dramatic elevation shifts, heather-lined fairways, and fast, subtle greens.

  • Championship Pedigree: Long-standing host to Open Championship Regional Qualifying, the English Amateur, and the Brabazon Trophy.

  • Facilities: Traditional clubhouse with a panoramic balcony, state-of-the-art PGA swing studio, Pro Shop, grass driving range, and short-game practice area.

  • The Playing Experience: Authentic heathland golf where staying out of punishing heather off the tee is crucial, and approach shots require careful distance control onto elevated greens.
